New Year’s resolutions. I’ve come to hate them, mostly because I feel obligated to make them and then fail to keep them. I’d much rather make adjustments and changes as I feel led to make them. However, I cannot deny that with the turn of the calendar comes new hope and fresh expectations for the coming 12 months. It’s a time where we can look ahead and initiate moving forward. As we do, there are some things we may want to consider. It’s one thing to dream big, it’s quite another to set one’s self up for failure. In the interest of avoiding the latter, I recommend reading this article from Rick Warren’s Pastor’s Toolbox called How Big is Your Vision? And if you have not yet subscribed to Pastor’s Toolbox, I suggest you do so. It’s a free resource that can serve to push you to become a better, or better informed leader.
